“Everyone will sit under their own vine and fig tree and no one will make them afraid.” – Micah 4.4

As the park is to the city, so the word is to our lives. A place to rest. A place to see beauty. A place to wonder. A place for pleasurable enjoyment. A place to share one another’s company. A place to escape the cluttered, churning chaos of the city.
At The Park Forum, we help you sit, walk, and play under God’s Word. Together we’ll enjoy the shade of his mercy, and see the beauty of his wisdom, the wonder of his love, the joy of his pleasure, and the company of God himself and those we invite to join us.
We are a Bible engagement ministry focused on cultivating vibrant faith and sharpening cultural insight. We do this through a customized two-year Bible reading plan and free Monday through Friday devotionals based on the readings on that day.
How is God’s Word like a park?
A park provides cooling shade during hot city summers and bucolic beauty when snow drapes the trees. A park cleans city air, making breezes more pleasant. A park dulls the din of the city that echoes through concrete canyons. A park shelters wildlife that enriches and entertains. A park provides a peaceful retreat from cluttered, chaotic streets. A park promotes play amidst a city planned for profitability.
A park in the middle of the city brings life to those who walk in it. God’s Word brings life to those who leave the hustle and grind of life, to walk in the cooling shade of his wisdom, peace, mercy, and love.

The Park Forum welcomes you to God’s Word like a park in the middle of the city. But instead of walking in the shade of trees, smelling the flowers, and relaxing on a green meadow to watch birds and wildlife, we walk in the shade of the wisdom of God’s Word, listen to the music of the psalmists, and relax by the still waters of God’s provision, mercy, and care.
What reading plan do you use?
We use a customized plan, based on the M’Cheyne plan’s reading divisions.
- We adjusted the readings to stretch over two years. Each year, we read the New Testament and the Psalms, while the rest of the Old Testament is split over two years.
- We have arranged the readings to be as chronological as possible without jumping back and forth between books.
Reading plan benefits:
- A sustainable pace that builds familiarity and allows more time for reflection and learning
- A focus on the gospel accounts and the New Testament through which we interpret the Old Testament
- A focus on the psalms, which were most frequently quoted by New Testament authors and are most practical for daily worship and reflection
